The Vitamin C found in Pure Planets Amla C is derived from the Amla berry - the Indian gooseberry. Traditionally used for anti-aging, tonifying, & immune enhancing effects in Ayurvedic practice, this whole food Vitamin C is full of naturally occuring bioflavenoids. Two tablets of Amla-C Plus contain 800 mg of Amla, with 54 mg of vitamin C. These 54 mg of Amla-C are equivalent to 600 mg of ascorbic acid vitamin C.

Amla-C Plus is a combination of 80% Amla berry and 20% Spirulina. Amla increases protein synthesis and is useful for hypoglycemia. It contains very high levels of the antioxidant Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) and tannins which inhibit the degradation of vitamin C and act as cellular protective agents against oxidative stress. Many Ayurvedic tonics are based on Amla and have been used for centuries as a powerful digestive aid, liver stimulant, with anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-histaminic, anti-viral and antacid properties.
